Over the last few years, the importance of indoor air quality (IAQ), especially in schools, has come into sharp focus. Within the spaces we learn, work and play, we are exposed to an array of airborne pathogens, pollutants and other contaminants. Research around the globe is proving a direct link between the quality of the air we breathe and our physical health, our cognitive abilities and our productivity.
This session, led by experts from the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America (AAFA) and Johnson Controls, will:
- Define IAQ, identify the sources of indoor pollutants, and examine how they impact our health and mental acuity
- Discuss who is most affected, and how to assess the health of your buildings
- Offer guidance for improving IAQ and helping those affected by allergy and asthma symptoms
